Ms. Tamara Hoffstatter represented us in a custody dispute. A matter where mom wasn’t the greatest and dad wanted to raise his daughter properly and safely. Tamara is straight to the point with her clients and gives us realistic expectations, but every time has helped deliver exactly what we were fighting for. I would say her strengths are in making the other party comfortable and keeping our objectives in mind. She’s realistic with her cost and is aware of the expensive cost to take on proceedings. Difference between a sad event and a tragic event? A sad event is when a bus full of lawyers goes over a cliff, a tragic event? One lives. I used to feel that way. Until I needed a lawyer. The best decision I’ve made in a very long time was hiring an extremely talented and intelligent lawyer, Ms. Tamara Hoffstatter, and the rest of the team at NM Divorce & Custody Law LLC . After a string of affairs, the now ex-wife decided we weren’t compatible and filed for divorce and ended 32 years of marriage. The amount of financial information that Tamara had to go through was staggering. In addition, the now ex took much of the information needed to prepare my case with her and acted like it didn’t exist. Furthermore, the ex’s lawyer was the type you hope would be in that bus from above. With her personal attacks in almost every correspondence, making up accusations about me and demanding insignificant information at every turn, Ms. Hoffstatter , her Paralegal, Ms Nolan, other staff and the Office Manager, Juan Diego Chavez, consistently embodied a level of professionalism that was truly admirable. They would respond to the immature and needless demands with magnificent deftness and efficiency. Tamara, always taking into account the need to NOT waist my money, would clear an answer through me and respond to only those accusations that furthered the goal of concluding my case. Tamara’s competence was like a bright beacon that blinded the opposing counsel’s bravado and bulling. This was never more evident than on the day of Mediation. Tamara had 32 years of ‘married’ life and financial information, and all that entails, succinctly and accurately placed into a 2 page document. When opposing Counsel arrived, she had 2 boxes of papers, and absolutely no organization. What should have taken 3 hours at the most, was dragged out to 10 due to the opposing counsels apparent desire to make money. Several insights that I had during the divorce process were confirmed by the end of it. The obvious. Money will be spent – a lot of money, to end an unwanted process. However, the crystal clear difference is that Tamara and the staff at NM Divorce & Custody know this and do everything in their power to be expeditious and NOT waist your money. I can honestly say that Tamara and NM Divorce & Custody are prodigies in their job, accomplished in their field and the consummate professionals in their approach and actions. I do not recommend ANYTHING lightly. In this case however, there is no one I recommend more highly than Tamara Hoffstatter and NM Divorce & Custody Law, LLC!
